According to a proverb, a friend in need is a friend indeed. After offering his client assistance, a boda boda rider has demonstrated that he is one.
Mwiza Spohy claimed that when her boda boda rider bought her groceries, her heart melted.
The customer, Twitter user Mwiza Sophy, claimed she was surprised when he bought her groceries.
Sophy claims that the compassionate boda boda rider realized she would not be working and assumed she was in a difficult financial situation.
Sophy wrote in the post from July 16, 2021, that the COVID-19 epidemic was to blame for her losing her job.
She captioned a picture with, “My soda guy has bought me these things after realising I haven’t been working since the lockdown started”
The list also included sugar, soap, pasta, and rice.
Sophy expressed gratitude for the gesture and urged internet users to treat people with respect.
The melting of my heart. Don’t be rude to anyone. You can never be too sure when you’ll need them. I’m overjoyed,” she wrote.
In response to the post, Ugandans on social media shared stories of boda boda riders saving them. Following are a few of the remarks:
@leilajollyy: “In Form 3, I forgot my wallet when I returned from school to Kampala. The boda boys gathered around me when I started crying. One gave me a free ride home. They are champions.
@brendamary kemi: I’m hoping you gave some to your neighbors.
@KOmukungu: The boda man is up to no good.
