Rayvanny, a well-known Tanzanian artist, has caused controversy once more after purchasing a Toyota Altezza and setting it on fire.
The Toyota Altezza, which costs between Ksh670,000 and Ksh1.5 million, was purchased by the Bongo singer and burned to a shell for a scenario in his newest music video.
Rayvanny is filming the music video for the song “Te Quiero,” which features Marioo. He made the decision to set the Toyota Altezza on fire in order to make the film shoot as authentic as possible.
“Najua kweli ni uhalisia lakini yani hakuna scene imeniumiza moyo kama scene ya kuchoma gari. Director naomba tuishie hapa kuchoma choma vitu,” he said.
Loosely translated to: “I know it’s real but there is no scene that pained me so much as the scene where we set a car on fire. I am now asking my director to stop the habit of setting up things on fire.”
