Controversial blogger Robert Alai has taken to his social media account to Expose Deputy President William Ruto’s salary he is earning from the government.
The blogger who has been the biggest critic to Ruto accused him of a being a selfish person, who claim to be jobless, yet he is earning huge salary from the same government he is attacking.
“His full salary and allowances while saying he has no job. Very selfish person,” he tweeted.
According to the unconfirmed pay slip, the second in command earns a total of Ksh 1,487,500. After deductions, he receives, Ksh 1,158,569.

Fact check on President Uhuru and Deputy President Ruto salaries
According to reports, Uhuru Kenyatta is the president of Kenya and one of the best paid presidents in the world.
His deputy, William Ruto is paid handsomely as well. The salaries, which are calculated by Salaries and Renumeration Commission, are fixed in such a way that no government official in Kenya earns more than the two leaders.
According to SRC, Uhuru Kenyatta’s monthly salary is fixed at Ksh 1,650,000 per month. This salary is basic, implying that allowances are not inclusive.
Per year, the president earns more than Ksh 20 million without payee and allowances. Deputy President, William Ruto, also earns comfortable salary. According to SRC,his monthly salary is Ksh 1,487,500 which excludes allowances.
