Just like Mark Zuckeberg and Bill Gates who made it in life without earning a college degree, these five wealthy Kenyan individuals treaded on the same path to rise to the top of their fields.

Chris Kirubi
The late Chris Kirubi is a Kenyan businessman, entrepreneur, industrialist and philanthropist. He owns consumer goods company Haco Industries, radio station Capital F.M and is the biggest shareholder in Centum Investments.
Deepak Kamani
Controversial billionaire businessman Deepak Kamani, told a local daily that he never liked school. He dropped out in form two to join his father’s auto shop. He owns Zuri Group Global which has a chain of five and seven-star hotels in India, Kenya, the United Kingdom, South Africa and exclusive homes in Dubai.
Maina Kageni
The king of radio also did not attend university. After completing his high school education at Laiser Hill, a former car dealer and KTN news anchor, Maina Kageni flew to the UK for his college education.
The top radio host however did not register in college and instead started working as a truck driver and fish distributor for some Chinese firm.
He now boasts of a six-figure salary and is said to be among the most paid radio personalities in Kenya.
Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki
Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill is arguably the godfather of Kenyan comedian. He co-hosts a morning show which is said to earn him in excess of millions a month and not forgetting the multi-million Laugh Industry empire that he owns.

He dropped out of university just as he had started working at the family business. He later on started Tangerine Investments which has annual revenues exceeding $1 million.
