Susan Kihika Breaks Silence On Alleged Break-Up With UDA

Following a series of mysterious statements shared on her social media accounts, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has disputed allegations of a rift between her and Deputy President William Ruto’s party, the United Democratic Alliance, also known as UDA.

She also urged Kenyans not to make snap judgments based on her recent social media remarks.

“Am very comfortable in the UDA party. People should not read too many details from my posts on social media. They have nothing to do with my position in the party” she said.

This comes only days after the Nakuru governor candidate was accused of meddling in Nakuru County’s recent UDA nominations. Kihika was being utilized by UDA’s enemies to damage the party, according to Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara, by introducing a mole paid by the Jubilee party.

Jayne Kihara also cautioned citizens of Nakuru against electing Kihika as their next governor.

“I wish we can openly campaign for Governor Lee Kinyanjui (of Jubilee)….this woman is a disgrace to Nakuru, please guys don’t let her be the next Governor for our Nakuru,” Kihara said.

Kihika, on the other hand, rejected the allegations leveled against her by kihara, claiming that she was not involved in the nominating process and that she was out of Nakuru town at the time.

“Personally, I didn’t vote or come close to any polling station. My eyes are on the governorship. I don’t have a reason to influence the election of other people. Those accusing me are only directing their anger on me as they are unable to contend with the decision made by the voters,” Susan said.

Jayne kihara had been defeated in her nomination by previous area Mp John kihagi, but the nominations were overturned after kihara successfully disputed the results. The UDA party demanded a new nomination process, which began today, April 19.
