Ezekiel Mutua reacts to Zubeida Koome’s Question to Sakaja: “Is Your Name Sakaja?”

Nairobi Senator and governor aspirant Johnson Sakaja made to the Nairobi governor debate on Monday later than expected. The debate started at 8:00 pm at Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Karen without the aspirant.

He only arrived at 20 minutes past the scheduled time. He was expected to make it to the second tier of the debate, to face off with his Azimio opponent Polycarp Igathe.

Explaining why he arrived 20 minutes past 8pm when the debate had started at Catholic University for Eastern Africa main campus in Karen, Sakaja said:

My opponent likes an head start. Nilikuwa nataka kumpatia hiyo juu amezoea kupewa.

Nevertheless, Sakaja got the chance to article his agenda for the people of Nairobi if elected the Governor.

Speaking during the governor debate on Monday night, his opponent Polycarp Igathe raised an issue on his integrity accusing him of not revealing his actually name.

This prompted the Moderator and KTN journalist Zubeida Koome to ask him if he indeed Sakaja was his name. (Is your name Sakaja?).

This didn’t sit down with most of the people who term it as unprofessional.

According to MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua, this was not professional journalism from Zubeida.

“That question “Is your name Sakaja” will go down in history as evidence of what professional journalism is not!” Mutua said in a tweet.
