Dancer David Moya threatens look-alike artist for copying him

Moya David has been accused of threatening a man who bore a remarkable resemblance to the viral dancer.

Trevor claimed in a recent interview that Moya David reached out to him and asked why he (Trevor) was mimicking his dancing skills, clothing code, hairstyle, and other things.

“We met for the first time at his birthday but we didn’t talk much so he told me that he would call me. I thought he wanted to congratulate me because I do something similar to what he does. You know, he can’t go around the country doing what he does alone, so he needs someone to help him,” Trevor explained.

However, when Moya David called him, he expressed his dissatisfaction with him.

“When he called me, he told me that I have really copied him. He told me that I carry a bag around just like him, and alleged that my hairstyle and headband were just like his. He asked me to change and that people would accept me how I was but his tone was not harsh initially,” he stated.

That’s not all, though. Trevor claims that Moya David warned him that one day he would wake up to find that his social media account had been deleted.

Although he acknowledges that Moya David encouraged him to begin dancing for passers-by, he claims that his technique is unique because he performs for the crippled and destitute individuals who live on the streets.

“I do surprises but my approach is quite different. I look for people who do not have food, those facing difficulties and those who can not meet their daily needs. I dance for them before giving them food and some money. It makes them happy.”

“You know, someone might have been sitting there for the whole day and they have not even had a meal. I show them love. The first time I came to Nairobi and saw people on the streets begging and I thought they needed to be helped. I would give them the little that I had. After seeing what Moya David does, I decided to to the same for street families,” he explained.

Trevor stated that the public has had different reactions to his approach. While some praise him, others criticize him for being unoriginal and imitating what Moya David does.

When asked why he couldn’t come up with his own unique concept and instead decided to replicate Moya David, Trevor explained that he did it as a Tik Tok challenge at first, but then decided to do more because people liked it.

“Mine began as a challenge and I told myself that I wouldn’t stop no matter what. Everyone does Tik Tok challenges. If it’s a dance style or dress code, people do the same thing. I already started doing this so you can’t tell me to stop now,” Trevor stated.
