George Wajackhoyah, a presidential candidate, has disputed reports that Rhumba artist Koffi Olomide assaulted a dancer during a visit to Kenya six years ago.
The politician, speaking on NTV, accused the journalists of fabricating the story.
Even though Koffi was enraged by his dancer, Wajackhoyah, who represented him in the lawsuit, said that the musician never hit her.
“Koffi didn’t hit his dancer that was a lie by the media. Koffi slapped a briefcase. He was upset
and when he was about to hit the dancer he reached the briefcase first and slapped it. So that
was a lie,” Wajackhoyah noted.

According to George Wajackhoyah, he is a very successful lawyer who has been hired to handled international legal matters.
“I am a very accomplished lawyer; England, Ethiopia and Uganda hire me to represent them in court.”
Incident
In the incident which caused uproar in the country, Koffi Olomide was videotaped beating one of his dancers, as previously reported media, after an argument occurred between them.
The dancer allegedly humiliated Olomide’s second wife, Cindy Le Couer, according to sources.
The incident apparently occurred shortly after their arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and Matiangi sent them back to Congo.
Promises
During the interview, the presidential candidate promised to hang all individuals who will be implicated in corruption, once he becomes the president of Kenya.
The lawyer also said he will legalize bhang in Kenya:
“Bhang must be planted. If in the US they plant marijuana. Where did it come from? If you are in Jamaica it is planted and sold in shops. It is the Europeans who gave Africans the idea that it is bad but the truth is Omusala (bhang) is okay.” he said.
Wajackoyah explained that Kenya could adopt the plant to uplift its economy and even create employment.
“Our work is to plant it and export it to the outside market. Let us use that money to build our economy. If there is something we can do to lift our economy let’s do it. We can make soap, cancer treatment and it’s okay,” stated Wajackoyah.
