This is driven by the growth of social media and high internet connectivity in the country.

Companies have in recent years turned to celebrities to market their products on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.

Who are the highest-paid influencers in Kenya?

Here’s lists the highest-paid brand influencers in Kenya in no particular order, as reported by Citizen TV.

The influencers take home millions of shillings.

Azziad Nasenya

In 2020, TikToker and actress Azziad Nasenya’s rate card leaked online. It showed her charges as an influencer.

According to Azziad’s card, a person or company would have to part with KSh 100,000 for a single post on Facebook, Tik Tok and Instagram.

A week’s package costs KSh 250,000, while a monthly package for about two to three posts on each of her social media accounts would cost KSh 500,000.

Azziad explained that she puts a lot of effort into her work, reflecting on her payment.

The dancer, a radio presenter, pointed out the engagement on her social media pages. The number of people her posts reach is quite impressive; therefore, underpayment is not an option.

On Instagram, she boasts over 1.3 million followers.

Some of the brands she has partnered with are Bic, Cortex, and Phillips.

The beauty takes home over KSh 500,000 monthly from brand influencing.

Caroline Mutoko

The 48-year-old former Kiss FM presenter has 432,000 followers on Instagram, 679,500 on Twitter and 1.2 million on Facebook.

Sauti Sol

Kenyan award-winning afro-pop band, Sauti Sol, has an estimated net worth of $ 20 million (KSh 2.2 billion).

Formed in 2005, it is composed of vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, Savara Mudig and guitarist Polycarp Otieno.

The group has 2.1 million followers on Instagram, 1.4 million on Facebook and over 1 million on Twitter.

TerryAnne Chebet

The media personality has been the Moflix diapers brand ambassador for two years.

Moflix has been ranked as the world’s fifth-largest branded baby diaper manufacturer, according to Hayat Kimya.

She has also shared photos advertising Crown Paint Products.

Chebet has over 719,000 followers on Instagram, 177,000 on Facebook and 552,000 on Twitter.

Adelle Onyango

Adelle Onyango is a renowned Kenyan podcaster.

In 2017, she was named among the Top 100 Women by BBC. She was also featured in OkayAfrica 100 Women.

She has worked for brands such as Johnnie Walker, Intel and Diageo, which runs Kenya Breweries Ltd.

Akothee

Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, is one of the most popular brand influencers in Kenya.

In 2021, Forbes ranked her the 15th richest musician in Africa with a networth of $ 10 million (KSh 1.09 billion).

The self-proclaimed president of single mothers has worked with multiple brands, with the latest being Rosy Tissues Kenya, Muthokinju Services and Premier Foods Ltd.
