Prados and Range Rovers are among the expensive automobiles that State House planned to auction off on Friday, June 16.
State House listed 13 vehicles for sale, including a Toyota van with an auction price of Ksh110,000, according to a catalog seen by Kenyans.co.ke.
Other vehicles to be auctioned included three Range Rovers due to be offered at Ksh1.25 million, Ksh1.2 million and Ksh570,000 correspondingly.
Additionally, three Toyota Prados were listed, with the Toyota Prado TX being the least expensive at Ksh200,000.
Other vehicles include a Mercedes Benz E200 (Ksh200,000) and a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 (Ksh300,000).
A Nissan Xtrail was priced at Ksh200,000 while a Mitsubishi Pajero was valued at Ksh163,000.
How to Bid
State House advised interested applicants to view the vehicles at the State Department of Roads yard in Ruiru on Wednesday, June 14.
Viewings time was set between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Interested bidders are required to pay a refundable deposit of Ksh50,000 which is mandatory to get a bidding number. The deposit shall be paid in the form of cash at the State House cash office during normal working hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“All lots bided and fully paid for must be collected within 30 days failure to which the purchaser shall be liable to pay a storage charge of ksh1,000 per day,” read the auction catalogue in part.
Bidders will also be required to pay 25 per cent of the set price prior to the exercise.
“The balance must be paid in cash within seven days from the Auction day, failure to which the initial deposit will be forfeited and the item offered to the second highest bidder,” State House advised.
