Emotions run high during Waihiga Mwaura’s farewell on Citizen TV [VIDEO]

Waihiga Mwaura, the host of Citizen TV, was surprised by his wife Joyce Omondi with a moving message as he concluded his final bulletin.

When signing off at Citizen TV, Waihiga mentioned that he first saw his wife Joyce there in 2012.

While employed by Citizen TV, the two fell in love and the rest, as they say, is history.

Trevor Ombijah and his coworkers from citizen TV surprised Waihiga at the last bulletin.

He couldn’t help but smile when they handed out a thoughtful cake. They all admired the journalist and wished him the best, Trevor said.

Ombijah hinted that a particular someone was waiting to surprise Waihiga, saving the best surprise for last.

“Another one special person who also has a special message, we gave you a wife, and we also present her to you,” Ombijah noted.

“I am so proud of you. I am glad I finally get to surprise Waihiga on air. I admire you as a leader, as a person as a human being.

You are incredibly talented and so hardworking I see the hours you put in, and I just honour you for it.

I thank God for opening this door for you, and I just know that your light is gonna continue shining brighter and brighter.

Listening to the team and all the wonderful things they have to say about who you are I wanna be like you one day when I grow up.

I love you, I celebrate you, I will always be behind you cheering you on as your number-one fan,” Joyce shared.
