“Go away!” – Miguna Miguna heckled for criticising Raila in Homa Bay

Lawyer Miguna Miguna was booed by residents as he went away from a burial in Oyugis, Homa Bay county, on Monday.

Miguna had spoken during the burial, accusing ODM leader Raila Odinga of “denying” the Nyanza region the benefits of multiparty democracy.

He claimed Raila had compelled the region to join a single party, the ODM, despite the fact that multiparty democracy requires everyone to belong to the party of their choice.

“We fought for multiparty democracy. The reason why we fought for multiparty democracy is so that everyone in Kenya can enjoy the fruits of independence,” he said amidst heckling.

“But right now, the people of Nyanza are not enjoying the fruits of independence because of one man called Raila Odinga. I have said it,” Miguna added.

According to video surfacing online, the lawyer was seen walking out of the burial amid an outcry from an apparently enraged crowd ordering him to go.

Those speaking in the video chastised Miguna for criticizing ODM Leader Raila Odinga.
