Uchumi ni mbaya! Maina Kageni explains why he doesn’t have kids
Popular Classic 105 radio presenter Maina Kageni has opened up on why he is not planning to have kids anytime soon.
According to the vocal broadcaster, having kids during these difficult economic times is unnecessary burden.
During the morning show, the radio host inquired as to the source of the obsession with having a large family.
“What is this obsession of having so many children? How are you going to raise 5 kids with this economy? You are the same people complaining about school fees, rent, CBC. Are Murang’a men stingy or just good planners?”
His co-host, Mwalim King’ang’i said children come with their own blessings.
“Mtoto anakuja na sahani yake, there’s a blessing that comes with them.”
Adding:
“Shida yenyu hampati watoto. Mnapata wawili mnafunga kazi na pesa mkonayo. Maina ata hujaanza! People need to get children.”
Few months ago, Maina Kageni shocked his fans after he posted a photo of himself hanging out with a young boy named Nathan, with many assuming it was his son.
“Twinning with Nathan… Took him for his first haircut… Keep smiling…. #JoysOfLife…” posted Kageni.
However, we later learnt that the boy in question is Maina’s godchild and the mother is his close friend and workmate.
Maina Kageni is single and has no children for now. Many have wagged their tongues at him, while others claimed he is gay.
He cleared the air about his sexuality and denied being gay.
Kageni is one of the Kenyan celebrities that love to keep their love life out of the public eye.
