Willy Paul began the year by disclosing details of a reality show he claims he turned down.

The musician stated that he is not interested in reality shows and that he would need approximately Ksh 123,550,000 to appear on any reality show.

“It’s 2023.1 had to turn down a reality show that’s overrated man! Anyway, I’m not a reality show type of person. I got what we call real talent as far as music is concerned. So I don’t need such things and if I must be part of such then pay me 1,000 000 $ for now please go with the affordable brands not me please and I mean this in a good way…”

The singer went on to throw shade at fellow industry mates, “I know they’re all waiting for me to drop a song ndio wote wakimbie kutoa. Let me make this clear it’s a new year and I’m not competing with anyone but me…”

In another post, he assured Kenyans that he’d be taking over the industry for the next 15 years to come.

“It’s about time, what type of song should I release? Who do you wanna see on a pozze feature? I got you covered for the next 15 years fam.”

Willy Paul’s rate card

Singer Willy Paul is the latest celebrity to share his rate card that suggests he does not come cheap.

The rate card indicates the jiggy jiggy hitmaker charges Sh30 million to endorse a brand.

Booking him for an outdoor event costs up to Sh1.5million.

Meanwhile, the controversial singer will demand Sh300,000 for a club appearance where he will not perform.

The amount goes up to Sh600,000 if the club appearance is within Nairobi.

Tiktoker Azziad Nasenya was the first celebrity to leak her rate card.

She charges Sh100,000 for a Tiktok video and Sh50,000 for a live video on the same platform.

In addition, an advertiser is required to part with Sh100,000, Sh50,000, and another Sh50,000 for Instagram Feed, Instagram story, and Instagram Live respectively.

At the same time, one will pay Sh100,000, Sh30,000 and Sh50,00 for videos, mentions, and placements on YouTube.

She also has a monthly package and weekly brand engagements where she charges Sh250,000 for one Tiktok video, one tweet, one Instapost, one Instastory and one Facebook post.

Azziad burst into the limelight in 2020 thanks to her viral ‘Utawezana Challenge’ twerking video.

Since then, the 20-year-old actress and content creator has seen her brand grow immensely, racking up followers on all her social media accounts.

Last year singer Bahati shared his wife Diana Marua’s rate card. He claimed that for a gig she chares Sh850,000.

Marua, made her debut on the music scene the same year, releasing the track Hatutaachana.

The Adhiambo hitmaker says his wife used to ask for Sh500,000 for an appearance at a club and that will certainly go up now that she’s launched her music career.

“The biggest advice to her is do you and don’t care about what they say, just do you and be real to yourself,” explained Bahati.

‘Hatutaachana’ was released on November 29, 2021, and the song quickly gained traction on social media, garnering close to 1 million views on YouTube.
