The lucky winner of the KES 200 million Betika Mega Jackpot is 22-year-old Eli Kipruto Rotich after he correctly predicted 17 matches.
The prize amount is subject to a 20% withholding tax, so the winner will likely receive KES 160 million, according to Betika’s announcement on Friday.
Other winners who anticipated 12 to 16 matches accurately got bonuses on Tuesday when it was announced that the jackpot had been won. Those who properly anticipated 11 matches received a free wager, while those who accurately predicted none received KES 2,814.

The ultimate jackpot for Betika has never been won before.
“I’ve never lost hope because I bet for entertainment. This money is going to change my life and my entire family. I think this is what they call Generational Wealth,” Rotich said.
Rotich, who is also a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, will receive financial guidance from Betika on how to manage his winnings.
“I’m very grateful to Betika for this jackpot and for offering me a financial advisor because to be honest, I haven’t figured out what to do with the money yet. It hasn’t sunk in yet that I no longer have money problems, just how to spend it,” he added.
Speaking during the handover of the cheque, Betika’s Senior Product Manager Kent Kagicha said: ‘’The odds were in your favour, and even when one game was postponed and the outcome had to be decided through a public draw, the outcome was still in your favour. We are so happy for you.”
