“Nimeitishwa PIN nikafaint!”- Kenyans shocked after Hustler Fund asks for Mpesa pin

Kenyans who applied for the Hustler Fund loan and were told to provide their Mpesa pin have gone to social media to express their outrage.

Today at Greenpark Terminus, President William Ruto made good on one of his key political promises: the Hustler Fund.

However, after being required to provide their Mpesa pin during the application process, some Kenyans who were seeking for the loan were left perplexed.

Anyone interested in the fund must accept the rules and insert their Mpesa pin, according to a spot check.

Many Kenyans felt this requirement was unfair because their Mpesa pins were personal information they couldn’t share with anyone.

Moses Ngare: When I saw Safaricom CEO and KCB bla bla bla I knew about the hustler fund ni biz. Ni bururi ugikura

Kevin Nyandia: It’s as is if they want to deny us this our small hustle we get indirectly, I can’t even make an attempt of registering am used to my daily problems i don’t want to add problems on problems

Ukiniita Dennow: Ntakubali 😂😂😂 you are refusing to disclose you m pesa pin and yet you don’t have nothing

Blogger Pauline Njoroge said: “Why is MPESA pin a requirement while applying for Hustler Fund? Why are they asking for it?”

Richard Mwanthi said: “As far as I know, Mpesa pin is personal. You give it out at your own risk.”

George Omondi said: “That place of the M-PESA pin has made me not register.
