Kenya’s Femi One wins the Best Female Rapper Award at #Afrimma

In an event that took place in Texas Dallas, Wanjiku Kimani, best known by her stage name Femi One, was named the Best Female Rapper of the Year 2022.

Three other East African artists also won awards at the awards ceremony on November 19 when it took place.

Diamond Platnumz, the leader of Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), was also named Best Live Act in Africa.

Other performers who have received recognition from the East African region include Next Level Music president Rayvanny and Wasafi signee Zuchu, who each received awards for the best male and female artists in the region, respectively, at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Award (DIAFA) in early November 2022.

Vanny Boy, a former WCB signee who was in Dallas to accept the honor, dedicated it to other East African musicians.

“I want to thank god, and my fans across the world, it was like a dream come through for me. I have so many awards but I was looking for this and finally, I got it.

“Finally I get this, thanks to AFRIMMA and the whole team. I just wanna dedicate this award to my East African fellow musicians. This is for us, we are one, and thanks AFRIMMA for the Award. I love you all,” said the Next Level Music boss.
