Kenyan over to the moon after world’s richest man Elon Musk replies to his tweet

A Kenyan journalist is overjoyed that Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, responded to his tweet.

Musk was notified by Lawrence Kitema via the bird app that Uganda, an African nation, had successfully launched its first satellite into orbit.

The chief executive and chief engineer of SpaceX responded to Kitema’s tweet congratulating the nation under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni, appearing affected by the news.

“Our African country, Uganda just launched its first satellite into space. How about that Elon Musk?” said Kitema.

“Congratulations!” Musk replied.

The writer, who appeared perplexed by Musk’s response, later posted a screenshot of the reply, bragging that he had gotten a response from the business mogul.

“When Elon Musk just replies to your tweets. Someone has just said I am the first African to receive Elon Musk’s reply. (From comments not me),” tweeted Kitema.

The fact that the spacecraft was built by three Ugandan and Japanese engineers as part of a global satellite design initiative may be the program’s greatest source of pride.

The Daily Monitor reports that in December of this year, the nation’s cube-type satellite PearlAfricaSat-1 will be launched into low-Earth orbit.

The PearlAfricaSat-1 was created for research and observation, the Ministry of Science and Technology continued, and the information gathered will aid in weather forecasting and agricultural monitoring.

Land, bodies of water, mineral mapping, disaster avoidance, infrastructure planning, and border security are further categories.]

“The development of PearlAfricaSat-1 presents opportunities for the development of subsequent satellites locally in Uganda, meaning our engineers and scientists will be providing practical solutions to the challenges facing the Ugandan citizens,” minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Monica Musenero said.
