How rich is NSE chairperson Kiprono Kittony? See the List of properties he owns

Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) chairperson Kiprono Kittony is an established entrepreneur and business leader.

Kiprono Kittony is the chairman of Radio Africa.

Kittony was appointed as the NSE Board chair on July 13, 2020.

The businessman is the immediate former chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI).
Kittony’s education

Kittony is the son of KANU strongwoman Zipporah Kittony.

According to the NSE website, Kittony holds a bachelor of commerce degree and a bachelor of law degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN).

He also holds a global executive master of business administration (MBA) from the United States International University (USIU).
Kiprono Kittony’s businesses

Kittony has diverse interests in different sectors of the economy, including media, agriculture and telecommunications, as listed on his website.

In his online story, he revealed that his businesses under the Sirwo Group were funded through loans from the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

He launched his first business, Kitale Video Services, in 1985 while still a student at UoN.

1. Radio Africa Group

The entrepreneur co-founded Radio Africa Group in 2000. He serves as the chairman of the Group.

The media company publishes The Star newspaper. Under its umbrella are Classic 105, Kiss 100, Radio Jambo, X FM, East FM, Smooth FM, and Kiss Television.

Kittony is the former chairman of the Media Owners Association (MOA).

2. Sirwo Enterprised Ltd

Kittony owns a large farm dubbed Sirwo in Trans Nzoia county.

At the farm, he plants tea, and coffee, and keeps livestock and bees.

The hard-working businessman is the brains behind the Sirwo brand of coffee and honey.

4. Cranes Haven Tented Camp

Cranes Haven Tented Camp is under the Sirwo and Cranes Group.

The luxurious tented camp is nestled under the magnificent Cherangany Hills in Trans Nzoia county.

The camp offers horse riding, swimming, bike riding, archery, and nyama choma services.

5. Capital Realtime Ltd

Kittony is the chief executive officer of Capital Realtime Ltd, according to his Twitter profile.

The company (previously Capital Airtime) deals in mobile phone shops, mobile phones, phone accessories and real estate agents’ business activities.

He acquired it in 2002 and renamed it. In 2009 it was named among the top 10 Safaricom dealers with over 35 branches and a turnover of KSh 150 million monthly.

6. Fresh Produce

He has also invested in the horticulture sector through Fresh Produce.

The company was founded in 1991.

7. Rift Valley Outlets

This is a beer distribution firm.
