Mwenda Mbijiwe’s Mother Begs Rigathi Gachagua to Help Find Missing Son

Mwenda Mbijiwe’s mother has requested that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua get involved in the search for her son, a missing security specialist.

In the event that he is voted to office alongside President William Ruto, the deputy president, according to Jane Gatwiri, has pledged to look into the situation.

Gatwiri claims that Rigathi told her family that unidentified state agents were holding their relatives and that Mbijiwe will be reunited with them as soon as they took office.

“He (Rigathi) said Mwendwa is being held by very high profile people who are untouchable. He promised that if we voted for him with William Ruto, they would bring our son home, in Meru,” said Gatwiri.

After visiting morgues, the worried mother’s conviction that her son was still very much alive returned.

She requested that the government support her family’s efforts to find Mbijiwe, who vanished in 2021.

“Whenever bodies are found in Kirinyaga, Embu, Chuka etc, we are asked to go check. We have never positively identified any of the bodies as Mbijiwe’s. But from a reliable source, we know Mbijiwe is very much alive,” she stated.

Mbijiwe, a former Airforce officer, went missing in June 2021.
