Deal Imeivana! Mumias East MP Responds To Lady Who Begged To Be His wife
Over the weekend, an unknown woman requested Peter Salasya, the MP for Mumias East, for her hand in marriage.
The woman identified as Lydia Ronald was seen holding a sign with the MP’s photo and the message “MP Peter Salasya Marry Me Please Mheshimiwa” in an undated video that was trending on social media.
The young politician scheduled a lunch date with the woman, as though her dream were coming true.
On Monday, October 17, Salasya issued a statement congratulating the woman for her bravery and courage.
He stated that the lady deserves the best and that he has invited her to lunch on Tuesday, October 18, at the National Assembly grounds.
“It takes courage and bravery to speak your mind in broad light. I congratulate her on the steps. May God Bless this young girl. You deserve the best . Tomorrow I invite you for a lunch in the parliament buildings. You will have the privilege to have lunch with members,” Salasya said in a Tweet.
Lydia characterized herself as a God-fearing, hardworking, and modest woman who would make a perfect wife for the MP when requesting the legislator’s hand in marriage.
“I promise him that if chooses me to be his wife I won’t disappoint him,” Lydia was heard saying amid laughter from onlookers.
She claimed that after Mumias East MP stated he was single and actively hunting for a God-fearing companion, she made the risky decision.
Salasya stated in a previous interview with the media that he was searching for a dedicated, supportive, and pious woman to marry.
“I am just looking for a very prayerful woman, a very young girl, focused girl, supportive girl, presentable and must be able to speak to the people in the countryside. Are you willing to join me we go look for votes,” Salasya said.
