Incumbent Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has won the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat.
Yesterday, Waiguru had accused Ngirici of plotting to rig the election, saying there were extra ballot boxes with ballot papers that were passed through the back door to the tallying centre an act she says is daylight rigging asking the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to halt vote counting.
Earlier today, their were reports that Ngirici had floored Waiguru to win the seat.
This saw majority of leaders congratulating her for winning.
Among them was Azimio running-mate Martha Karua who took to Twitter to send congratulatory message to her.
