Kenyans React to Diamond Buying Chopper Days after Performing at Azimio Rally

Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz is becoming more Kingpin and successful.

The Jeje hitmaker bought his first helicopter.

He took to his Instagram page, which enjoys over 3 million followers to share the good news with fans.

He wrote, “God is good. I bought me a helicopter today.”

As usual, his Kenyan fans had something interesting to say. According to them, Diamond had used the Ksh 11 million he was paid for a 3-minute performance at Azimio’s final campaign rally on 6th Saturday, August 2022.

Kenyans accused Diamond of bragging about his wealth. Some congratulated his moves and urged Kenyan musicians to copy his style instead of being dormant.

Arrico Adida commented, “This is definitely that same money he was paid Kenya as Obinna and Eric are still wasting data on who has more money than the other.”

Triza Wainaina said, “He was given that money by Azimio.”

One Mamake Blessing na Adrielle said, “On Saturday he performed In Kenya, for Azimio and today, Wednesday he bought himself a chopper.”

On Saturday, 6th August 2022, Diamond caused an online uproar after he performed at Azimio Rally. Most critics claimed that his invitation was a disregard for Kenyan local music.

Activist and Rapper Juliani claimed that Diamond’s performance was not as good as any Kenyan artist would have done better.

Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna condemned the Azimio team harshly for supporting Tanzanians instead of supporting their own.

However, a section of Kenyans came out to defend Diamond, arguing that Kenyans had not up their game.

Comedian Eric Omondi accused Kenyan artists of being lazy and less creative. He claimed that Diamond deserved to perform as he had worked hard to maintain high followership.

As Kenyans debate on what money Diamond used to buy a helicopter, Diamond is yet to confirm whether he indeed used his payment from the Azimio rally.

All we can do as Mkenya Leo is to congratulate him for making yet another boss move.
