Inside Michael Olunga’s multi-million rural home in Homa Bay (PHOTOS)

Kenyan footballer Michael Olunga is back, and currently enjoying his holiday in Kenya.

The footballer has been making big money moves since he started his career in football.

The striker has proved to his fans once that indeed money is good and if spent well, you can enjoy life fully.

The Harambee Stars player on Saturday 11 June, shared Facebook photos of himself taking his fans on a tour of the new house which he described as his resting place in the rural home.

Michael Olunga’s wealth

Olunga is currently the second highest paid footballer in Kenya taking home a weekly salary of Ksh7.5 million.

His Net worth is estimated to be $3.6 million.

Michael Olunga’s career profile

While still a student at the Upper Hill School, Olunga began his career with the Liberty Sports Academy in the Nairobi County League. He scored 32 goals for the side during the 2012 season.

On 19 December 2012, Olunga signed for Kenyan Premier League side Tusker from Liberty.

On 2014, he was loaned to fellow Premier League side Thika United for another year, before joining Gor Mahia before the beginning of the 2015 season.

On 17 February 2016, Olunga joined Swedish side Djurgårdens IF on a four-year contract.

In 2017, Olunga joined Guizhou Zhicheng side in China, which according his fans was the worst decision for him.

But according to him, his move would not affect him whatsoever and whatever people say he was committed to take his career to a new height, pointing out that there was so much quality in the Chinese League.

“I think I cannot decide my life on what other people think. When I made my move to China everyone counted me out but I believe now is the right time. I just keep on working hard and soon everyone will see,” said Olunga.

On 10 August 2018, Olunga joined Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol.

In January 2021, Olunga moved to Qatar Stars League champions Al-Duhail on a three-seasons contract, for a reported transfer fee of €6 million.

Michael Olunga’s Education

Olunga studied geospatial engineering at the Technical University of Kenya and pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

This is why, most Kenyan fans call him “The Engineer”.  According to him, his role model is the Dutch striker Robin van Persie.

Michael Olunga’s wife

The striker is not married but is in a relationship.

Olunga is in long-term relationship with his long-term girlfriend, Grace.
