Emmanuel Kisangani: “I Hate Jalang’o Because he Is Too Sucessfull”

Stand-up comedian Emmanuel Kisangani left his audience in stitches after he commented how fellow comedian Jalang’o’s success is hurting him.

He claimed that he hates Jalang’o for taking almost every job the industry could offer.

According to Kisangani, Jalang’o, who has now ventured into politics, is making artists jobless because he is taking all the jobs. Kisangani commented how Jalang’o would work in the morning at Kiss 100 as a co-presenter and later have his podcast full of advertising gigs in the afternoon.

He cracked, “I hate Jalango by the way. Okay, I hate him because he is too successful. He is doing everything. He is doing all the gigs, he had a job in the morning and a podcast in the afternoon, which has adverts.”

He also revealed that his mother was pestering him to have a job after he quit his radio job, and all he could tell her was that Jalang’o had taken all the jobs.

“You know I quit my job on radio and my mum keeps asking me if I have gotten a new job. She is like, ‘Umepata kazi? (Have you gotten a job?)’ I’m like ‘No. Jalango has all the jobs!” he said.

To add sugar to the joke, he went ahead to imitate how Jalang’o conducts his interviews while cutting the interviewees short to promote a product he is advertising.

The audience could help but laugh at the imitation and shout, “Sanitize!” a phrase Jalang’o loves using in his podcasts.

While Kisangani’s comments may be received as jokes, they could be reflecting the ongoing tiff between newbie artists and artists who have stayed in the industry for long.

The old, mostly the industry’s bigwigs, are being accused of overstaying in the industry taking all the jobs because they are experienced while the newbies are left with nothing.

However, the bigwigs have dismissed critics claiming they worked hard for their places and are unwilling to leave the industries.

In previous interviews, Jalang’o accused the newbies of wanting to succeed quickly, yet he started very humbly.

Here’s the video of Kisangani’s take against Jalang’o. Watch it and tell us what you think.
