Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has welcomed Kiambu Woman Rep Gathoni Wa Muchomba to the Hustlers’ team, following her recent move to support Deputy President William Ruto.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Kuria, however, hit Wa Muchomba with one demand, noting that she was the beneficiary of a committee leadership position that was taken from him, and as such, she should return it to him, before they start working together as ‘Hustlers’.
“I fully welcome my good friend Gathoni wa Muchomba to the Hustler Nation. But the beginning of repentance is undoing certain things. I was robbed of my position as the Vice-Chair of Roads & Transport Committee and it was given to Wa Muchomba.
“My friend Gathoni. Do not deal with stolen goods. It’s an offence in law and in the Bible. Return to me my Vice-Chair seat since we are now both members of Tanga Tanga which according to Kieleweke is a criminal enterprise. Halafu sasa tutoke nyuma ya hema twende kazi ya Hustler,” Kuria posted.
The Kiambu Woman Rep joined the Hustler brigade last week, arguing that she was influenced to make the move by her constituents, who she claims have shifted their political base and are now leaning towards the DP.
Speaking on Sunday, Wa Muchomba claimed that Kiambu residents are angry at President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly not involving them in critical decisions made by him and the Jubilee party, despite their overwhelming support in the 2013 and 2017 general elections.
She cited the handshake between President Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and recent talks of a potential merger between ODM and Jubilee as the main reasons why Kiambu people are mad at Uhuru.
“Watu wangu wa Kiambu wamenionyesha kwamba wao wamesonga wameachana na Uhuru Kenyatta wanataka William Ruto na wamekasirika. Sijui kama mheshimiwa rais anajua watu wamekasirika.
“Watu wamekasirikira kwa sababu zile salamu aienda kusalimiana wanasema hakuhusishwa. Pia hii maneno ameleta ya proposal kwamba Jubilee itashikana na ODM wananchi wamekasirika wanasema hawakumpatia nguvu ya kuanganisha chama ya Jubilee na ODM bila ata kuitisha National Management Committee meeting… Tunaona hio ni madharau, tunaona hio ni kuwekwa kando, tunaonekana ni kama hatuna nguvu, kwa hivyo ni afhhdali tufuate mtu anaona sis tuko na maana,” she said.
